Mind Body Matters was founded by Alexa Massingham and offers courses and events based on the principles of yoga and mindfulness.

Alexa has always been passionate about teaching and helping people develop into healthy and happy individuals in order to thrive in life.
As a former school teacher her primary focus was the personal, social and emotional development of young people.
After experiencing the benefits of yoga and mindfulness in her own life, she retrained to share the wisdom and insight of both practices to young people and adults alike.
Mind Body Matters is the result of Alexa’s passion for education, mindfulness, and yoga, combined with her Masters in Mental Health.
She is currently working with private clients, schools, businesses and charities to support overall wellbeing and empowering people to live happier and healthier lives through both practices.
Her work has taken her into schools, offices, prisons and the ocean, and she thrives off the variety of people and places she gets to meet and connect with.
Alexa is also passionate about connecting with nature to support wellbeing and deepen our relationship with it. She therefore enjoys taking her practice, and clients, outdoors to experience the additional healing benefits of nature.
Growing up by the sea in Hong Kong, she has always had a love for the ocean, so the combination between yoga and SUP was perfect!
